Nova Canco

Nova canco is a Catalan genre that developed in the 1960s and 1970s. It combines elements of traditional Catalan music with contemporary styles such as rock and pop. Nova canco artists often sing in Catalan and explore themes of identity, politics, and social justice. The genre played a significant role in the cultural and political movements of Catalonia during the Franco dictatorship.
