Gospel Antigas

Gospel antigas, or "old gospel," refers to the early recordings of gospel music from the 1920s to the 1960s. These recordings, which often featured solo performers or small vocal groups, were made on small labels and distributed primarily to African-American audiences. They are characterized by their raw, emotional performances and their use of traditional gospel themes and imagery.
