German Punk
German punk emerged in the late 1970s and early 1980s as a response to the political and social climate of the time. It was characterized by its raw, aggressive sound and its DIY ethos. German punk bands like Die Toten Hosen and Slime were known for their politically charged lyrics and their energetic live performances.
